- Extension: Create three (3) Depth of Knowledge (DOK) questions and answers. One from each Level (2, 3, 4) for four (2) Turning Points
- Ex. Level 2 - Q: Describe the social aspects of the law code of Hammurabi. A: The laws were different for each social class in the society.
- Ex. Level 3 - Q: How does the law code of Hammurabi compare to other modern law codes? A: Earlier law codes such as the 12 tables, and the law code of Justinian also had different laws for different social classes, however, modern law codes such as the Napoleonic codes generally treated people equally with respect to social class.
- Ex. Level 4 - Q: Can the law code of Hammurabi be judged against laws today? A: The law code of Hammurabi has some basic laws that are similar today such as theft and murder, but they are different in many ways such as treating slaves differently than nobles with harsher punishments such as death. Today, slavery for the most part has been abolished.
