The New Roman Times: A Newspaper of the Roman Empire

This project can be for individual students, pairs, or small groups, You will be responsible for publishing one issue of The New Roman Times, a mythical daily newspaper published in Rome during the imperial years.

You will be responsible for writing five (5) newspaper articles. All the articles need to be written in the present tense, from the perspective of a contemporary (living at the same time) Roman citizen.

Bring your subjects to life. Tell the stories in a way that not only informs your readers, but keeps their interest ,and their subscription to your newsletter. Be sure to include some graphics to illustrate your stories.

(Min 250 Words / Max Limit 500 Words) Emperors of Imperial Rome - Biography on a Roman Emperor (Min 250 Words / Max Limit 500 words) Fall of Roman Empire - Story about how the Barbarians invaded the Roman Empire. (Min 250 Words / Max Limit 500 Words).

Advertisements: Roman Entertainment - Poster advertising Chariot Races, Gladiator Games, or a Roman Play to a Roman Audience. (Text & Graphics) Roman Villa - Poster advertising a Roman Town House for sale. (Text & Graphics)
