The Age of Reason, also called "The Enlightenment" was a time period in global history from about 1650 to 1800 in which philosophers began to solve political, economic, and social problems facing the world through the use of logic and reason. Coming from the Scientific Revolution in which theory, experimentation, and observation taught how the natural world worked, the Age of Reason allows for some of those concepts to be applied to the political, economic, and social world.

In this Infoquest,For each section you will;

  • Explain the Historical or Geographic Context—where this historical development is taking place, and why it is taking place there.
  • Identify bias, point of view, audience, or purpose and explain how that factor affects the document as a reliable source of evidence.
  • Identify and Explain a Relationship between two (2) documents (Causation, Turning Point, Comparison)
