Opinion vs. Fact

Opinion verses Fact is one of the most often overlooked way of analyzing historical documents.
Opinion
A statement of OPINION is what someone believes or thinks. There may or may not be a good reason to think this way.These words express how someone feels. An opinion is an interpretation, value judgment, or belief that cannot be proved or disproved. An opinion is created.

Fact
A statement of FACT can be proved TRUE or FALSE. A fact is a specific detail that is true based on objective proof. Objective proof can be physical evidence, an eyewitness account, or the result of an accepted scientific method.
